We had a great turn out for opening day with five boats in the water. Stuyrowing was there in force along with our usual dedicated volunteers to help get everyone into a boat and out into the river. Boats mostly stayed in the ebayment due to the combination of a strong ebb tide and winds out of the north gusting up to 20 mph. Work continues on the gig and volunteers enjoyed sanding in the sunshine in the lee of pier 40. The dory sits in the boathouse waiting for the planking crew. It was a fine opening day 2014!
